This rite has liturgical phrases spoken in Gaelic. The tribe which performed this rite uses a special bottle of water which is known as the waters of mystery which is collected at each rite from the waters shared and kept to be added to the waters to be shared at the next rite. This tribe also as a tradition of calling upon a protector god to insure a safe ceremony.<o:p></o:p>

Prior to the rite there will be a gifting to the local nature spirits on the land.<o:p></o:p>
The Bard faces the ritual area and raises her hands as she extemporizes a call to the Mor Righain.<o:p></o:p>
The Druid leads the processional toward the nemeton. <o:p></o:p>
The Druid raises his hands and loudly intones: “Tha sinn annseo chum urram a chuir air na Diathan. We are here to honor the Gods."<o:p></o:p>
All assembled answer:  "Cuirear urram air na Diathan. May the Gods be honoured."<o:p></o:p>
The Druid raises his hands and prays: "As our feet step upon the paths of the Ancestors, we will enter this sacred place with sincere reverence for all that is Holy. May we as one tribe stand among the spirits in this blessed Grove where the worlds come together, that our prayers and sacrifices may honor The High Ones of our ancestors as countless generations of our people have done before. Bitheadh e mar sin" (So be it)<o:p></o:p>
Fire-tender lights the fire and says: “Seo an teine choisrigte.  Behold the Sacred Fire. Welcome precious flame, shine forth and fill these sacred grounds with light as the fire in the head warms us with inspiration. Bitheadh e mar sin” (So be it)<o:p></o:p>
Warrior steps forward and stands in the north facing the south and says: "Oghma Sun Face, eloquent champion of the Tuatha De Dannan, shinning protector of the people, we ask that you stand with us that we may be safe to celebrate in peace. Hold forth your sword that it might turn back all harm and allow disruption no entrance among the people." <o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer stands at the fire with raised hands and says: “Manannan, Master of the Sea and the ways between, we ask that you open your cloak to part the Mists upon the shores of this world. Throw wide the gates, and give passage to all who come in peace. A Mhanannan fosgailtear na geataichen."<o:p></o:p>
The Druid says: "Manannan open the gates."<o:p></o:p>
Fili begins to lead the assembly in song.<o:p></o:p>
 Bitheadh e mar sin" <o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer gives an offering of beer, poured out on the ground as an acolyte says: “In great ships they loaded their 4 treasures and themselves, leaving behind forever the four great cities, and sailed through the skies to find a new world. This is how our Gods, The Children of Danu come, and in your coming may you be welcome. May fires burn in your honor, may there be songs in your presence and may feasts be laid before you.”       <o:p></o:p>
Chant or song.<o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer spreads an offering of oats and barley upon the ground as an acolyte says: “Honoured Ancestors, those who were before and yet live as we who shall live on in our children. Hear our voices across the sea and among the apples of youth. Receive this gift and show to us your favor” <o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer offers a bottle of beer poured upon the ground as the Drui raises his hands and says: “Angus Mac Oc, son of the young for young is the son, conceived and born on the same day. We thank you for you gifts and your attention through these many years.”<o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer offers a bottle of beer, whisky, or mead as the Drui says: “Blathnaid, blooming around us we honor you with this gift freely given. Flowering one of the season, may you be honored by what we do here today. <o:p></o:p>
The Druid will ask: “Have the people brought praise that the Gods may be honored?” <o:p></o:p>
The Fili will answer:  “They have”<o:p></o:p>
The Fili will direct those who have praise songs or poems to come forward.<o:p></o:p>
The Druid will ask: “Are there sacrifices that the Gods may be honored?”           <o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer will answer: “There are”<o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer will direct the individual sacrifices as each person brings their sacrifice forward and either performs the rite of sacrifice or hands it to the sacrificer.<o:p></o:p>
The diviner raises his hands and says: “Oghma Right Word, bringer of the sacred Fews of the Ogham. We ask that you speak to us, and tell us what the High Ones would have us know.”  Does divination and says: "And so the Gods have spoken. Bitheadh e mar sin" <o:p></o:p>
The assembly responds: "Bitheadh e mar sin" <o:p></o:p>
Acolyte steps forward and holds up the vessel of the spring water and then pours it into the bowl while saying: "Waters of land, bring to us the touch and blessings of this world:<o:p></o:p>
Acolyte holds up the vessel of rain water and pours it into the bowl while saying: "Falling waters of the sky, bring to us the blessings of the High Ones."<o:p></o:p>
Acolyte holds up the vessel of sea water and then pours a bit onto her finger and rubs it around the rim of the bowls while saying: "Waves of the waters of the sea, bring to our shore the blessings of the ancestors."<o:p></o:p>
Acolyte adds the waters of mystery to the bowl while saying: "Waters of mystery, allow us to drink the flowing traditions and blessings of our people."                                                                                                          <o:p></o:p>
Two acolytes hold the bowl of water high into the air and the Drui says: "Bless these waters of life that they may flow to and through us, may the wells of blessing spring to life within us and fill us with waves of joy and prosperity. Bitheadh e mar sin" <o:p></o:p>
Three acolytes then carry the bowl around the group serving each person water from it into their cup, which they hold until they are directed to drink.<o:p></o:p>
 After everyone has been served the cup-bearers serve themselves then hold their cups up and say:  "Seo an uisge beatha, behold the water of life"<o:p></o:p>
All assembled respond: "Seo an uisge beatha, behold the water of life"<o:p></o:p>
The Druid says the following prayer: “Gods and Goddesses of our Fathers and Mothers, High Ones of the Ancestors, Rulers of these realms and the forces that fill them. You who have protected and provided for the people as they scattered across the land in this season of growth. We ask that you once again aid this tribe as our heads, hands and hearts turn to the far-flung journeys of the Summer. May we be protected and blessed in our work, in our search for this seasons’ prosperity and in our preparations for the time of darkness to come.” <o:p></o:p>
The staff into which the members have carved their petitions is held aloft by the Drui and carried around the group as the Sacrificer says: "The hopes, dreams and needs of our people from our hands into the hands of the High Ones, may each hand, head and heart be blessed."<o:p></o:p>
The Druid hands the staff to the sacrificer who will later carry it into the forest to be left.<o:p></o:p>
Acolyte refills the waters of mystery. <o:p></o:p>
The diviner prays: “Oghma, right word, for your guidance, Tapadh leibh, we thank you"<o:p></o:p>
All assembled repeat: " Tapadh leibh, we thank you"<o:p></o:p>
Drui says: “Blathnaid, beautiful flower maiden for the loveliness that springs to life around us Tapadh Leibh  we thank you"<o:p></o:p>
All repeat: " Tapadh leibh, we thank you."<o:p></o:p>
Acolyte says: “ Mothers and Fathers of  blood and of spirit most honoured ancestors, for who we are and for your blessings, Tapadh leibh, we thank you ”<o:p></o:p>
All repeat: " Tapadh leibh, we thank you ”   <o:p></o:p>
The Druid with raised hands says:<o:p></o:p>
"Shining Ones of elder days, for your blessings, Tapadh leibh, we thank you ”<o:p></o:p>
All repeat:  " Tapadh leibh, we thank you ” <o:p></o:p>
Sacrificer: "Manannan keeper of the gates, for opening the realms to our words and our sacrifices, Tapadh leibh, we thank you.” <o:p></o:p>
All repeat: " Tapadh leibh, we thank you."<o:p></o:p>
The sacrificer says: "Duintear na geatachean,."<o:p></o:p>
Drui: May the gates be closed<o:p></o:p>
Warrior prays: “Oghma, great champion of the Gods for your protection, Tapadh leibh, we thank you ”<o:p></o:p>
All repeat:" Tapadh leibh, we thank you ” <o:p></o:p>
The Fire-tender extinguishes the fire after saying:  "Here removed from our sight, but never removed from our hearts, may the flames of inspiration live on and fill our days with beauty"<o:p></o:p>
The Fili thanks the Mor Roghain, Tapadh leibh, we thank you."<o:p></o:p>
All repeat: "Tapadh leibh, we thank you."                                      <o:p></o:p>
The Druid addresses the assembly: "As our ancestor have done in the depths of ages past, so we have done today. May each of us go from this place carrying the blessings of our people, our ancestors and our Gods. This rite is ended, Na Diathan libh. Gods be with you." <o:p></o:p>
All respond: "Agus leat fhin, and also with you.
